This is one of my all time favoriate cakes. Easy, moist just plan good. Make sure you double the carmel sauce...people have been known to drink it!

4 cups diced apples
2 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
½ cup oil
½ cup nuts (chopped)
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp cloves
Cream sugar and eggs together until fluffy.
Add oil and mix well.
Add all dry ingredients.
Stir in apples.
Place in a 9X 13 inch pan that has been well greased.
Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes.
Topping
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup butter
2 tbs flour
2 tsp vanilla
Bring to boil; remove from heat; keep warm and serve warm
Pour over cake and top with fresh whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon.
